Traveling on My Own

The celebration of my fifteen years is something remarkable in my life. It was three o'clock am on  November 17th and I was so nervous I couldn't sleep. At six I had to be at the airport, and as a prize for getting on time I had the chance to travel in first class with the rest of the new girls I met. None of us fell asleep on the plane, I think we were all too anxious to see new places like Bahamas. When we finally got to Miami, where we were going to board the cruise, there was a strange woman waiting for us in the airport departure. She took us to the Dolphin Mall, which was one of the biggest malls I have ever seen, and gave us just five hours to buy everything we could. Of course that wasn't enough time for me and my friends to walk the whole place, so we split into pairs and went to different stores separately. I remember not been able to carry all of my bags that night, even my chaperon helped me to take them to my hotel room.

The next day was boarding day, we went to visit Coral Gables in the morning. We all wanted to live in that place after looking at the luxurious houses made of coral, they were expensive but an amazing place to live. People from there even had their own golf court. It was totally amazing to be in that place, but unfortunately it was time to go. After that the tourist guide took us to a Cuban  neighborhood and we saw how habanos are made. There was an old man holding a cigar from his own store with his left hand, and I don't remember what he was saying but I took him a funny picture just in the middle of his sentence. Pretty funny. Finally we got to the cruise and waited.  Just a few minutes after it sailed, most of the people was feeling kind of drunk and it was hard to keep balance. Even one of the employers told us that there were giving nausea pills on the fourth deck. We explored most of the cruised and after a long day we finally went to sleep.

Next morning Nancy, our chaperon, woke us up to take us down to the first island from Bahamas, Cococay. It was one of Royal Caribbean's private islands, white sand, lots of adventures and delicious food. We went to the kayaks and the other girls hit us until we fell down and spent the rest of the afternoon in the sea. Then Nancy took us back to the cruise for lunch and after it we could do everything we wanted alone. We had a lot of freedom in the ship, but I think that wasn't such a great idea when security caught us at two o'clock in the morning and got us back to our cabin. We spent awake almost the whole night, even one of the girls went to see the sunrise with Santi, a guy from Guatemala we met that day. We visited the second and last island, Nassau, my favorite place. People from there had an amazing accent I fell in love with, it sounded like "fresh". I even had a massage in "low term" at the seashore. It was so relaxing I even fell asleep for the rest of the tour.  Unfortunately, nothing lasts for ever, and it was time to go back to Miami.

After we got there, there was a private bus waiting to take us to our last destination, Orlando. We spent those last days visiting two parks a day, it was so exhausted I couldn't even stand by myself the last day, so I took one of those cars for invalids and kept on. Finally, it was time to go back home. I wont ever forget watching at my mom with my boyfriend waiting for me and thinking " Why didn't anyone tell me HE was going to be here?". But anyways it was cute. And I wouldn't change anything from this amazing adventure I lived by my own for the first time.
